Our Story

Built by Parents.
For Parents.

Montessori Homeschool was founded by Lannah and Beto Paredes — parents who wanted to give their children an authentic Montessori education at home. What started as a family project became a platform serving homeschool families nationwide.

Co-Founder & Curriculum Director

Lannah is the educational authority behind Montessori Homeschool. A credentialed Montessori educator with a Master's degree in Education and over a decade of experience in both classroom and home settings, she brings professional-level curriculum expertise to every lesson on the platform. As a dedicated homeschooling mother of two children spanning multiple Montessori levels, she ensures every lesson works in the real world — because she teaches them every day.

Montessori Credentials & Education

The Prepared Montessorian Institute

Formally trained in Montessori pedagogy for the elementary years, covering curriculum design, classroom management, individualized learning plans, and the full scope of Montessori materials and methods for ages 6–12. This credential directly informs every lesson in our Lower and Upper Elementary curriculum.

Master of Education (MEd) in Elementary Education

University of California, Riverside · Psychology Minor · 2010

Business acumen and understanding of organizational management, combined with psychology coursework in child development and learning theory.

Hands-On Montessori Classroom Experience

Montessori Educator

Teton View Montessori · Rexburg, Idaho

Worked hands-on with over 40 students in a Montessori classroom environment, guiding children through individualized work cycles, preparing and maintaining the Montessori environment with authentic materials, presenting new lessons and follow-up activities, and observing each child's developmental progress. Responsibilities included detailed lesson planning, parent communication and conferences, written progress documentation for each student, and managing multi-age classroom dynamics where children at different developmental stages work simultaneously. This direct classroom experience is exactly the expertise that shapes our platform's lesson design, pacing, and parent guidance.

Homeschool Educator — Two Children

Paredes Family Homeschool · 2016 – Present

Teaches her two children daily across multiple Montessori levels — from hands-on exploration of sensorial materials to pre-teens tackling algebra and essay writing. Every lesson on the platform has been tested in her real home environment. She knows which materials work, which instructions confuse parents, and which activities actually engage children.

What Lannah Brings to the Platform

Curriculum Design & Quality Assurance

Lannah reviews every lesson for age-appropriateness, practical feasibility, and authentic Montessori methodology. She ensures the parent guides actually help parents — not just list instructions, but explain the “why” behind every activity.

The Parent Perspective

While Beto builds the technology, Lannah ensures it serves parents. She advocated for features like the “Ask Claude for Help” button, the printable materials library, and the step-by-step slide format — all born from her own experience as a homeschooling parent who needed these tools.

Technology & Project Management

Beyond education, Lannah brings 10+ years of software project management experience as CTO at Beto Paredes LLC, where she oversees 25+ developers and architects building enterprise platforms. She has managed projects for GEO AI Technologies, ArtistXP, and Map Science Corp — working with clients including Chevron, Barrick Gold, and Newmont Goldcorp. This rare combination of Montessori expertise and technical leadership ensures our platform is both pedagogically sound and technologically excellent.

Why We Built This

From Our Family to Yours

Montessori Homeschool was born from the same question every homeschool parent asks: “How do I give my children an authentic Montessori education at home without being a trained Montessori teacher?”

Lannah shaped the curriculum with her Montessori credentials and classroom experience. Beto built the technology with two decades of enterprise software expertise. Together, they created the platform their own family uses every day — and now they're sharing it with 1,000 founding households for the Fall 2026 school year.
